Pr0sthet1cs explores the impact of technology throught the shift of our sensory perception and the construction of culture with the database. The topics under investigation include: cognitive sciences, media theorists and theories of communication.

Our contemporary societies are supported by flows of image, sound and messages which supports our believes in our society. No only the human materialities are included and manipulated to add value to our societies (capitalism). Also information is the flow of messages and images which establish the basic structure of our own culture. This new structure of believe are by the biological bodies through their technological extensions. This technologies (pr0sthet1cs) are more reliable storage devices that biological bodies since perception do not interfere in the storage and retrieval of information.

The grown of new technologies in our societies breaks the rhythms of time and space. Breaking the boundaries of any short of perspective or calculation. Thus, new technologies do not only give us access to informational networks at any moment through real-time interfaces. They are not helping us anymore to navigate through past experience or to orientate us in our space. Rather, we confront a crisis on perception. Perception is managed and controlled through the real-time data and the new technological . We do not construct our consciousness (our present) through our cognitive maps anymore. We construct in relation to new technology. Our biological body loses the sense of time through the navigation of the data physically stored in our technological devices. We also lose the sense of space breaking the boundaries and limits of territories and social structures. We also became data which can be manipulate while we are able to navigate through the database using real-time interfaces. Our pr0sthet1c perception gather the information through the new technologies (prosthetics), controlling and constructing culture. This construction would be based on the benefit of production of goods and the real-time information. Transforming our biological senses and the understanding of what it is real and what is a falsification.
